Community Workshops
Visit our model kitchen gardens to learn about seasonal planning, planting, maintenance, and harvest. We will share seeds and recipes, and stories of successes and failures from our own garden spaces.
We also host “Discovery Days” to engage children in the wonders of plants, pests, and of course, some treats from the garden.

I’m Sarah, and Tennessee Kitchen Gardens has been a dream of mine for a long time. I’ve been balancing my gardening passion with my career as a high school English teacher for more than a decade. I started my first veggie patch in a remote village in Guatemala in 2005, and have been designing and redesigning gardens in Tennessee since 2012. Whether it’s comma placement or soil composition, I’m curious about everything. Get ready to become a garden nerd with me- you won’t be able to resist :)
